We will provide you with a detailed breakdown of anticipated treatment costs, including what services your insurance covers and any out-of-pocket expenses such as copays, coinsurance, or deductibles. Medicaid plans and waiver services approved by the respective payors, including the Virginia DBHDS Medicaid Waiver, have no cost associated with them for clients or their families.
Filing Insurance Claims
As a courtesy to our clients, we submit insurance claims on your behalf. Our team will work to ensure all necessary documentation is submitted to help you maximize your benefits.
Your Responsibility
While we work hard to streamline the process, clients (or their parents/guardians) are responsible for any costs not covered by their insurance. However, services provided through approved Medicaid plans and the Virginia DBHDS Medicaid Waiver are fully covered with no cost to the client or their family.
Families with a child under the age of 21 who also has a medical diagnosis of Autism or another lifelong disability should enquire about the Children's Community Alternative Disability Program https://dhss.delaware.gov/dmma/disabledchildren.html. This provides Medicaid coverage to eligible children based on the child’s income. For those who have commercial primary insurance, this program can act as secondary insurance covering deductibles, co-pays, and other expenses and possibly healthcare services not covered by the child’s primary insurance.
